Derived from the Sanskrit words yuga (“age”) and adi (“beginning”), Ugadi means “the beginning of a new age.” Ugadi is the day Brahma began creation of the universe and Ugadi is the day Rama was crowned king of Ayodhya.
The festival marks the beginning of a new Hindu calendar year and is celebrated on the first day of “Chaitra” month, which falls in the months of March-April as per the Gregorian calendar.
Here comes our favorite Ugadi special "Ugadi Pachadi".
Ugadi pachadi is a mixture that has six different tastes sweet, sour, salt, pungent, spice and bitter. It signifies that life is a mixture of happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, fear and surprise.
Lets celebrate Ugadi as we do in our home land. Let's join together and make the event joyful. Not to mention, the event is powered by Tollywood singers , rappers, comedians and many more cultural activities and an end with our DJ.
