The good wine project
GOR005-GORGO-MONTE MAGGIORE BARDOLINO SUPERIORE D.O.C.G .
THB1,700
The Bardolino Superiore D.O.C.G., controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin, fully expresses the style for which the company and its wines are renowned: “The pride of tradition, the courage for renewal”. We chose a particularly suitable micro-area, limited the grape per hectare and grape-wine yields and devised a different method of vinification and ageing in order to obtain a rich wine that has fullness and structure and can resist the passage of time without losing its specific mild and fruity individuality, derived from the grapes of varieties of local provenance.
Vines: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara.
Training system: Guyot
Vinification: The grapes are left to ripen on the vine, followed by maceration in contact with the skins for 10 days, with temperature-controlled- led fermentation at between 25/28 ̊C.
Colour: Intense ruby red, tending to purple.
Bouquet: Intense aromas of red fruit, especially ripe marasca cherries.
Flavour: Soft and enveloping, velvety, justly full-bodied, intense without losing its typicality.
Food matches: Rich, substantial first courses, red meat, savoury cheeses.
Serve at 16/18 ̊ C
